in chengdu, the neri&hu architects studio presents a volume crossed by horizontal and vertical cuts which is suspended from the ground. the library looks like a circular space with a grid of wooden bookcases that serve to display all the products of the valextra collection. in the centre of the ceiling there is a dark red conical element. inside this cone, n55 technical bulbs wired with lensoptica lenses 3000K cri98 have been inserted in order to have the effect of natural light. crossing the space of the library you reach the straight reading room covered with bright green rectangular tiles. here the most exclusive products of the collection are displayed, illuminated through a 094 system curvo and n55 technical light bulb fittings.
