valextra, the forest
place:milano, italia
project:kengo kuma & associates
technical sales consultant:matteo vivian
in milan, via manzoni, the japanese architect kengo kuma develops a project regarding the relationship between nature and architecture. he proposes a forest where urban life is suspended, offering visitors an enchanted experience. customers immerse themselves in a magical urban forest, finding themselves walking through evocative spaces, losing themselves among the hundred and thirty-six cedar wood planks of lebanon left to saw. the products are resting on very light steel trays, which allow the bags to live as protagonists on the background of the wooden backdrop. the ceiling, made of reflecting material, creates an infinite verticality through a play of reflections.
