starting with the renovation of an existing property in st. anton, the popular tourist destination in the tyrol, the architectural practice of kitzmueller architektur has created a spacious luxury residence with five bedrooms, a swimming pool, spa, cellar, generous living space and even a private cinema. the entire ground floor is clad in natural stone, while the two upper floors are constructed of reclaimed timber. the interior is dominated by floors in oak and natural stone, while the walls are of clay plaster and reclaimed timber, all under Viabizzuno lighting: bacchetta magica fittings were installed in the garage, articulating the wall surfaces. displei spotlights in the plasterboard ceiling complete the picture. the entrance to the house is brightened up with a large wardrobe made of reclaimed wood, lit by a concealed continuous 13 x 8 led profile fitting and, on the opposite wall, with jura marble ashlar cladding, applied in a horizontal and linear manner and c2 profiles, both ceiling and floor mounted, creating a high impact effect. the mood created by candela di vals fittings permeates the pool room; they are positioned on the rear wall of the relaxation area, illuminating a vertically cut natural stone wall. in the spa area, visually linked to the pool room, m2 ceiling mounted spotlights alternate with m44 floor mounted versions. along the staircase, a corrimano in luce 2 fitting illuminates the wall, again clad in jura marble ashlar. linear slots with sharp edges were formed along the first floor corridor ceiling using the 094 system and lit with an integrated c2 led profile. floor mounted m44 spotlights complete the atmosphere, creating contrasting lighting effects, like columns on the ashlar wall. in the bedrooms, the wall behind the beds features horizontal shelves in reclaimed wood, surrounded by a large wooden frame. a concealed 13 x 8 profile was mounted in the upper part of the frame to highlight the wood and, above the bedside tables, clv2 parete-soffitto fittings form a contrast with their bronze-coated surfaces. the toccami parete fitting was chosen as a night light, axially mounted. the roof-space features an exposed roof framework with joists and matchboarding. the framework is lit with p1 fittings with matt black surfaces, mounted on both sides behind each joist. finally, concealed 13 x 8 profiles were fitted to illuminate the recessed bookshelves, while three cilindro zincato serpentine fittings were mounted above the sofa table and three signoria fittings over the dining table.
