originality, irreverence and irony have always been part of the soul of camper, the footwear brand born in majorca and now reaching all corners of the world.
since its foundation, these elements have found their expression in different forms: from bold advertising campaigns to colourful shop windows, from mismatched shoes to stores designed in collaboration with leading designers. the latest flagship stores opened are located in two of the world’s fashion and design capitals: paris and london. at 4 rue aubry le boucher, practically opposite the centre pompdou, there is the iconic parisian shop renovated by jorge penadés, a designer who combines his mediterranean roots with the search for new solutions, materials and techniques. inspired by the geometries of the nearby cultural centre, penadés built a display structure that runs along the walls of the entire shop, in which the linear lighting with the cestal 45 led profile by Stealth Light, dedicated to the lively footwear on display, is perfectly integrated. the clean lines and walls are guaranteed, as all the cables are concealed within the structure itself.
red – the brand’s representative colour – always retains its original brilliance, as the extremely high colour rendering (CRI > 97) and the perfect chromatic alignment with the ceiling luminaires made it possible to provide a qualitatively consistent lighting for both the diffuse light and the products on display.
the designer’s mediterranean essence shines through in the rustic texture of the walls, the warm tones of the wood and the handcrafted tiles that cover the seats and the counter.
the characteristics of the space are enhanced by A1 tracks with n55 spotlights: the combination of these luminaires makes it possible to provide diffuse lighting thanks to the linear leds on the one hand, and concentrated lighting that can be easily rearranged at every change of set-up on the other.
flying across the english channel, at 207-209 regent street – one of the world’s most famous streets for lifestyle and shopping – the london-based camper store was recently renovated to mark its 15th anniversary. james shaw, a london-based designer whose design approach challenges the concept of ‘waste’ to create new materials, oversaw the restyling of the space by making stylistic choices capable of bringing together seemingly distant worlds: the colours of majorcan earth meet the curved and geometric lines of modernism; in the centre, the monumental
sculpture in the shape of a foot recalls the playfulness of the brand and winks at the punk soul of the english capital.
also in this space, Stealth Light’s cestal 45 linear leds integrate perfectly into the display structures, while on the ceiling the A1 track with n55 spotlights were made in a customised version, with the same finish as the walls and ceiling of the shop, creating a pleasant and homogeneous display scenario.
