after several years spent restoring the historic building on the corner of frederiksberggade and gammeltorv in copenhagen, Bestseller has taken a new step by opening its flagship store in the heart of the historic city centre.
the renovation project, carried out by the danish firm DesignGroup Architects, was implemented with the aim of creating a contemporary commercial space, with the utmost respect for the original structure and its historical value. this approach has yielded an overall transformation and comprehensive renovation centred on sustainable solutions.
the space is built around a single, particularly striking concrete column, and a stainless steel and marble staircase connecting the two floors of the shop.
lighting design follows this circular architectural movement, integrating the clean lines of 094 sistema with n55 light fittings in the false ceiling.
on the upper floor, the coffered ceiling encloses n55 parete soffitto orientabile. these lighting solutions allow for considerable flexibility in creating diversified scenarios, offering diffused pools of light as well as dedicated lighting to specific elements on display.

the intentionally chosen colour for retail lighting is terracotta orange.
