n55 can be customised to suit all needs, thanks to a wide range of technical optics, classic glass and decorative glass. the highly flexible and customisable nature of n55 has allowed this system to be selected by architects and designers from all over the world to respond to constantly new and original design requirements.
the glass, rigorously blown and handcrafted by master glassmakers, creates plays and effects of light designed to enhance and move spaces, create chiaroscuro or play with surfaces and finishes.

lensoptica glass is the result of research developed by Viabizzuno, designed by David Chipperfield Architects with the international engineering studio Arup, to provide electronic light sources with high efficiency optics capable of both focused and diffused light.
high efficiency is achieved by using a highly transparent material, polymethylmethacrylate, by means of catadioptric prisms designed to reflect and transmit light while minimising absorption losses.
