Nordic Homeworx – middle eastern partner of the swedish brand Kährs – collaborated with Rabah Saeid and the team at Styled Habitat, excellence of interior design in dubai, to create its exhibition at downtown dubai 2025. The Nordic Cabin aims to demonstrate the qualities of the brand’s wooden surfaces and to emphasize the unexpected dialogue between middle eastern and scandinavian style.
the intention was to convey a feeling of home, inspired by the typical swedish stuga where you can retreat to slow down, breathe and reconnect with nature. the structure is modular and sustainable, with some external planks reused from previous installations to give new life to materials. inside, the atmosphere is designed to invite a sensory pause: natural textures, light, the scent of wood and warm materials create an intimate space that recalls the connection between scandinavian nature and the perception of feeling at home. the selection of Viabizzuno light fittings – supplied by Ikonhouse, Viabizzuno’s partner in dubai – follows and enhances the aesthetic and conceptual substance of The Nordic Cabin. the color rendering of the diffused light is the fundamental element for enhancing the wood. the welcoming entrance is reinforced by silère, while along the perimeter lucciola fixtures of different heights float. inside, the area dedicated to the living room, warmed by the intimacy of the fireplace, is further enriched by minima terra with pz03 glass designed by master Peter Zumthor.
alba, design by Stefano Belingardi, acts as a backdrop to the kitchen counter, conceived to serve traditional swedish fika to guests. in the rest of the space, the portable light n55 lanterna with dc02 glass designed by David Chipperfield contributes to the poetry and familiarity of the environment, making every visitor feel welcomed and at ease.
