between dusk and dawn we get organised with lights that we ourselves make and turn on.
there is no comparison between these lights and day light, they are too weak and rather limited with their flickering intensity and long shadows.

designed for Viabizzuno by the master of architecture Peter Zumthor, candela di vals was designed to create a light that invites meditation and contemplation.

conceived first for the Church of St. Benedict and then for the Thermal baths of Vals – both designed by Zumthor – candela di vals descends from above like an extension of natural light.

with its clean but not ordinary lines and its natural brass, this lighting solution impresses with the power of simplicity and the expressiveness of matter.
