the Bosco Verticale in milan is one of the city’s most famous architectural landmarks and is well known around the world. designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti, the complex consists of two residential towers representing a new housing prototype focusing on the relationship between human beings and other living things. the intention is to contribute to environmental regeneration and urban biodiversity, with a particular focus on sustainability. the environmental benefits provided by the 800 trees, 4,500 shrubs and 20,000 plants are numerous, including the absorption of fine dust and carbon dioxide, the production of oxygen, the optimisation of water management, the reduction of noise pollution, and an overall improvement in the quality of life.
in this context, the adopted lighting solutions addressed a variety of requirements: enhancing the iconic architecture, complementing the interior design choices, blending with the natural light filling the space from the large glass walls, and reflecting the complex’s commitment to sustainability. the spacious living area combines the kitchen, living room and dining area, and features the n55 h20 with dc01 decorative glass – a design element also found in the house’s other rooms.
a 48-module coppibartali sospensione illuminates the long, dark wooden table, adding to the room’s elegance with its sophisticated finishes and creating an inviting setting for socialising with its soft light.
