spanning 500,000 square metres, the Grand Egyptian Museum in cairo is the largest egyptian museum in the world. after almost twenty years of construction, this impressive exhibition and conservation space has finally opened its doors. located a few thousand metres from the pyramids of giza, the museum’s architecture, designed by Heneghan Peng Architects, offers visitors an exclusive view of the pyramids. inside is the Nakhla boutique, a jewellery brand with strong links to egyptian culture and its tradition of craftsmanship. located in the heart of the museum and overlooking the imposing statue of Ramses II, this space has been designed with cultural heritage at its core. it is designed to showcase creations in an ornate yet unobtrusive setting, drawing inspiration from the surrounding materials and monuments. n55 soffitto provides diffused lighting for the space, while a focused light specifically designed for the displayed objects is delivered by traccia sistema with micromen spotlights. this solution is integrated directly into the display cases, allowing the jewellery to take centre stage while avoiding any intrusive reflections or glare for customers.
