located in the heart of copenhagen – just across the kings gardens and housed in an historical building – Alouette is a fine dining experience focused on creating a sustainable future for cuisine.
the design of this unique place has been realised by architect David Thulstrup, connecting it to the rich history of the city and reflecting the owners’ vision of offering a unique food experience. thus, the environment is authentic, simple and natural, enhancing the narrative they wish to convey.
working in close collaboration with the architect, legio provided the lighting design for the entire restaurant: from the dining room to the two kitchens, lounge area, restrooms, and entrance. the project’s most challenging element was developing a custom suspension grid system for the track lighting in the dining room, resolved by using traccia sistema designed to integrate seamlessly with the restaurant’s distinctive curved ceiling – inspired by stalagmite caves and a defining architectural feature of the space. throughout the restaurant, Viabizzuno’s lighting fixtures were selected for their exceptional color rendering properties, flexibility and comfort, creating an inviting atmosphere while showcasing the raw materials in its most beautiful light.
