located south of mainland singapore, the island of sentosa is home to an exclusive residential complex where architecture is intertwined with lush vegetation and waterways.
here, Type0 Architecture has designed a residence – the first in singapore built in mass engineered timber – featuring large, interconnected architectural volumes organised around a central courtyard. this courtyard serves as the home’s green heart and a source of natural light, even for its deepest interior spaces.
the luxuriant natural surroundings are brought inside the building through the use of natural materials, particularly wood. its warm tones create an immediately familiar and welcoming atmosphere.
one of the most distinctive rooms is the spacious living room, which features a royal chandelier suspended above the dining table.
on the opposite side, a large window opens up the intimacy of the home to the allure of the sea. this is framed by a long section of traccia sistema with ecomini spotlights, a configuration that provides lighting inspired by natural light. the same guiding principles apply to the lighting approach on the upper floors.
in the sitting room/study, traccia sistema is integrated into the wooden beam with ecomini spotlights and linear leds to provide atmospheric yet concentrated lighting that can be adjusted as required. the master bathroom is enriched with elegant decorative elements and features tc01 glass for n55. in the gym, traccia sistema with trentotto spotlights provides highly flexible lighting that can be adapted to new equipment layouts.
