In the heart of Rome, just a stone’s throw from the baths of Diocletian and palazzo Barberini, the new Marazzi space has opened. Marazzi is an international leader in the design and production of ceramic and porcelain tiles. In conjunction with its 90th anniversary, Marazzi has strengthened its collaboration with ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel studio, which was entrusted with the architectural and interior design project of this exceptional flagship, following the spaces in Milan and madrid.
This 400-square-meter, two-level space is designed to create an evocative experience that enhances the versatility, elegance, and multifaceted nature of Marazzi products.
An exclusive hotel lobby atmosphere welcomes guests in the first area of the showroom: the heart of the project, where in the Marazzi privé, the timeless beauty and functionality of ceramics take shape, reinterpreting carpets, furniture, and high-backed seats that create intimacy.
For this new concept in rome, it has been designed a special suspended lighting solution with Viabizzuno technology. The large lampshade createsa lighting effect that invites conviviality, ideally marking the different areas of conversation and networking between brand, customers and designers.
For concrete-effect stoneware slabs, majestic backdrops of the Marazzi privé, a dedicated solution was designed using a wallwasher system in order to provide diffused and homogeneous lighting, even on large-format surfaces.
Continuing in the showroom, there are themed rooms that showcase Marazzi products displayed on mensolonatraccia with micromen spotlights and n55 with lampshade, a system already chosen for the spaces in madrid and Milan. The combination of technical and decorative lighting emphasizes the preciousness of the materials displayed and creates a welcoming atmosphere. Books and art objects placed among the product samples convey a sense of warmth and familiarity, allowing customers to feel at home.
On the elegant stoneware-covered volumes positioned in the center of the rooms, customers select their ceramics.
On a discreet microtraccia track integrated into the table, a special version of roy with tunable white is installed.
This product not only enhances the color and texture of the materials but also allows customers to evaluate each sample with a light similar to that of their own home by adjusting the color temperature.
Almost invisible in the space, tracciameno in suspended version provides indirect lighting towards the ceiling, while tracciameno on the wall with micromen spotlights illuminates in detail the objects placed above the mensolonatraccia. The technological research that Marazzi undertakes for the use of its ceramics is also reflected in the management of the lighting project: each light source can be turned on, off, or adjusted in intensity from mobile devices through Viascenario app, Viabizzuno’s wireless lighting control system, allowing the creation of ever-new scenarios according to the needs of the set up or use of the space.
