as part of the project to improve the poetto seafront in cagliari, Piazza degli Arcipelaghi has undergone redevelopment and has reopened to the public after almost two years of work. with financing of euro 3 million, this area has been upgraded to improve accessibility and safety. differentiated paving, new street furniture, and green areas featuring native species promote comfort and relaxation, as well as environmental protection. meanwhile, a sandy filter ecosystem separates the pedestrian area from the dune area.
the lighting design plays a fundamental role. lucus pole with nett uno, which are positioned mainly around the perimeter of the square, ensure safety and usability while discreetly fitting into the urban space. above all, they allow the trees and green spaces to take centre stage. to further accentuate the walkways, m1 micro incasso spotlights with a bespoke finish designed to withstand the marine environment have been installed on the ground.
