in this special issue, in which Viabizzunoreport is presented with a new editorial look, we present a theme that has always been central to our company and to which we have chosen to devote further attention this year: care.

the moodboard is the sensory origin of the project. a collection of images, materials, atmospheres and references that anticipates the character of the space and suggests its deepest intention. it is a phase of listening and vision, in which light begins to be imagined as an experience.
the concept is the generating principle of the lighting project. it may arise from a more conceptual vision, shaped by emotions, perceptions and effects, or from a more technical approach, linked to performance, function and dialogue with architecture. in any case, it defines the way light will give identity, rhythm and presence to the space.
the preliminary design translates the vision into an initial structured framework. design choices begin to take shape, the intervention logics are defined, and a balance is built between lighting quality, integration and feasibility. this is the phase in which the project acquires form, proportion and direction.
the detailed design brings every element to completion. choices, details and solutions are defined and verified rigorously, also through the technical and architectural studies required for the integration and implementation of the project. light thus enters a fully developed dimension, where precision and vision coincide.
